Art supplies flat lay

What you'll leave with

Create your own grief journal page

No art experience needed. We'll use paper, colour, and texture to give your grief somewhere to go.

Language for the grief you've been carrying quietly

We'll gently explore the different types of grief and help you recognise what you might have been carrying without realising it.

Use simple journaling prompts to begin processing

Spirit-led prompts that meet you where you are... no pressure, no performance, just honest creative space.

Find a creative practice you can return to

Leave with something you can continue on your own, whenever grief surfaces in your life.

The Grief Pages – Pain Panel

Have you ever experienced a loss that didn't feel like grief?

We tend to think grief only comes when someone dies. But there are actually 11 recognised types of grief... and chances are you've felt more of them than you realise.

Loss of Relationship

Divorce, estrangement, or a friendship that quietly faded

Anticipatory Grief

Losing someone slowly before they've actually gone

Disenfranchised Grief

Losses the world doesn't always recognise or name

Fertility & Childlessness

The longing for children that never came

Identity Grief

Losing who you used to be... a role, a career, yourself

Health Grief

Grieving the body or life you had before illness

Cumulative Grief

When losses stack up before the previous ones have healed

Collective Grief

Shared losses we carry together without always speaking of them

Plus three more we'll walk through together in the workshop.

If any of those quietly landed... this workshop is for you. Not to fall apart.

But to give it somewhere gentle to go.

About Bev:

I'm Bev Jessup. A faith-based creative, the founder of Creative Sanctuary, and the woman who coined the phrase Christian art journaling.

Before all of that, I spent 34 years as a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist working with children whose grief, trauma, and complex communication needs had quietly shaped their lives. I know what unprocessed loss looks like in a body. I've sat with it professionally for three decades.

And I've sat with it personally too.

I created this workshop because I needed it myself.

I think you might need it too.

Why this workshop is free

  • Because grief shouldn't have a paywall.

  • Because I think the women who most need this space are also the women least likely to spend money on themselves right now.

  • Because some things are an offering, not a product.

  • Inside Creative Sanctuary I serve members who want to keep journalling and processing long after the workshop ends. At the end of the workshop I'll invite you to stay.

  • So these 70 minutes are genuinely a gift - you, a paper page, and somewhere gentle for your grief to go.

  • If something shifts in you and you want to keep going, I'll be here. If not, the workbook and what you create today is yours to keep.

  • You're not obligated to anything.

BEFORE: “I longed to journal consistently for years, but nothing ever stuck. Journaling felt like a chore.”AFTER: “Now it’s my place of healing, presence, and authentic growth. The Creative Sanctuary connected my love for art with my walk with God and gave me a community that focuses on presence, not perfection.”

BEFORE: “I was searching for a space where I could connect with God more deeply and belong to a faith-filled community.” AFTER: “I found it here. I love how creativity brings us together to hear God and share our stories. I feel called, and I know God is telling me, ‘This is your space.’”

BEFORE: “My heart felt blocked with irritations, failures, and disappointments. I longed for calm and renewal.” AFTER “The workshop became an oasis of peace. Through creative prayer, I was reminded that where we feel broken, God restores us in gold. I left renewed and grateful for the shared journey with others.”

a note from me

If you've read this far, this is for you.

If you've read this far, something in you already knows.

Maybe it's the loss you don't quite have words for yet. Maybe it's the friendship that ended without ceremony. Maybe it's the version of yourself you're still missing.

Whatever it is, I'd love you to come and sit with me for the next 70 minutes Bring a cup of tea. Bring a piece of paper. Bring the grief you've been carrying quietly.

You don't have to fix it. You don't have to name it perfectly. You just have to show up.

Press play when you're ready.
